Brief History: Valium was the product of a forcebreeding. When she was born, it was just her and her mother. All through life, it was still just her and her mother. She never had any stallion figures in her life. Well, that was until she met her best friend and his family. Sure, she was about a year younger than him, but that didn't stop her from becoming friends with him. She did everything with him. Grazing, playing, talking, and more. But, then he had left one night. She had been sleeping next to her mother and when she woke up the following morning, he wasn't around. Which began the days of sulking. During the day, she'd graze or go off alone to get things off of her mind. But by night, she'd lay under a tree in the forests and just cry. Cry her heart out, until she could cry no more, then she'd head back to her mother. The day she couldn't find her best friend was the day she began to shy away from true relationships. Then one day, she left her homelands. That morning, she promised her mother that she'd be okay on her own. Then, she walked away, never to return to the land she was born in. She made her way to quite a few forests before coming to the land she now calls home. Grazing on what little grass she can find, finding a place to keep shelter in the worst of situations, and overall, just learning to survive. But, like other equines, she knew she wasn't alone. The scents of many equines hung in the air around the land she finally decide to call home on.
Personality: Having been born with most of the delicate curves of many 'prettier' mares, Valium struggled to find her place in the world and decide who, exactly, she was and would be. She had low self-confidence and often shied away from true relationships unless she thought the other would be able to help her in some way, give her life a meaning greater than it could ever have if she lived only for herself. She has learned to hold her tongue and wait until she is around those she can trust before speaking out. She can control herself, even around stallions, which could be considered something of a feat. She strives for cleanliness and keeps her body in peak physical condition. Unlike some mares, she does not wish to have various flings with a number of stallions. All she really wants is a mate who could be her equal and perhaps have that special batch of foals with. For now, however, she is limiting herself to chasing dreams in preparation for the big day when they come true. She does not like to threaten others and is by all means a peaceful equine, but she will do anything she can to return a favor or simply help another friend out. The only thing she requires in return? Friendship and a return favor if she ever needs it. She will not tolerate liars and could never associate with one if she, herself, had ever been betrayed by them. She is a very traditional equine because of her upbringing and would never be as disrespectful as some equines are today. Other than that, she is kind and accepting with a great deal of patience for others. She feels as though she can really connect with an individual, and this is true in even a short time.
